The PBA Store
We collect name, street address, contact e-mail, telephone number, and credit card information from visitors making purchases on our online store's secure order page. We do not store or retain any of this information online. We keep a record of personal information derived from orders and donations to the extent required by our auditors to verify our accounting system.
If you place an order with the PBA Store, we may use your e-mail or telephone number to request additional information about your order, your desired shipping mode, or to notify you of your order status. We may use your mailing address to send you a free copy of our newsletter and/or information on new products available in our store. If you do not wish to receive such communications from Polar Bears Alive, please let us know by sending an e-mail to us, calling us, or writing us at the addresses and numbers supplied above. Please provide us with your exact name and address to help us locate and remove your name from any PBA Store list.
Should you join Polar Bears Alive, we will retain your name, e-mail and mailing address in our off-line membership database which we use to send you our newsletter, membership notifications, and to keep you informed of PBA business and issues.
The server hosting the Polar Bears Alive web site maintains log files in which IP addresses and/or domain names are saved whenever a page is requested. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information and we use information from the log files solely in the aggregate to analyze site traffic and evaluate public interest. The URL of a referring web page may also be logged for the same purpose.
